I love wolves, their rough beauty, their strength to perservere and survive, their untamed spirit. This metal was an old wooden stove that was thrown behind an elementary school in Tirana, Albania. The door of the stove was my favorite feature on the piece - the womb of the luna wolf, the motherhood of a wild beast that has to fight and at the same time take care of her babies. The Red Wolf's feet are the legs of the stove and the reddish tones of the metal's surface are a reminder of years of burning heat that kept kids warm on winter days.

These reliefs on rusted metal resemble an archeological ancient discovery that was just uncovered. Redina's sculptures are unique in material and technique. She uses scrap metal sheets that were left to rust in forgotten corners, and brings them back to life, in a display of fantasy land and expressive figures. The relief is created by hitting the metal surface with hand tools on both sides until the desired depth and texture is reached. Every inch of these sculptures is treated with warmth and love, and each piece is finished with its own incorporated framing that surrounds the main story and turns each particle of her work into a fable on its own. The mix of materials and color treatment adds another layer of enhancement that completes these masterpieces from a world away.
